Guest Card Policy

GVR members may purchase guest cards for their visitors (required for all guests 18 years of age or older) using the following criteria:
All guests must reside outside a 20 mile radius of Green Valley.

  • Guests are temporary visitors who are staying in a GVR household with a GVR member or who are staying in a local commercial hotel as a guest of a GVR member.
  • All guest cards must be purchased in person by the GVR member
  • There are two types of guest cards:

Daily passes: ($10 per day UNLIMITED NUMBER OF PEOPLE). Members must provide the usage dates when the pass is purchased.

Annual Guest Card:* ($65 for one CALENDAR YEAR). This card allows guests to visit the facilities unaccompanied by a member and is good for an unlimited number of guests throughout the year. This card must be tapped at card readers at all facilities and may be used by multiple guests with the same card. GVR members who own more than one GVR property may purchase an Annual Guest Card only for the property in which they reside.  Only one annual guest card may be purchased/acquired by individual(s) owning GVR properties regardless of the number of properties owned.  Annual Guest Cards may not be purchased for properties which are tenant occupied. There is a $15 replacement fee for lost cards.  Guest card fees are not prorated and are non-refundable and non-transferable.

*Tenants are not permitted to purchase an Annual Guest Card for their guests. They are required to purchase the $10 per day cards, providing the usage dates.

GVR members and tenants are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
All guests are required to adhere to the Green Valley Recreation Code of Conduct.

                        Pilot Program for Social and Dance Clubs to become a permanent policy

On Tuesday, August 23, 2016, the Board of Directors approved a Pilot Program to allow Social and Dance Clubs the opportunity to host non-member guests at their functions. Four dance clubs and 10 social clubs participated in the Pilot Program.

After participating in the Pilot Program, one of the dance clubs found that the fee will have a drastic impact on their club and has petitioned for a reduction of the guest fee.

On Tuesday, July 18th 2017, the Board Affairs Committee discussed the pilot program, along with an amendment to allow clubs to annually apply for a fee reduction, to become a permanent policy.

GVR Board of Directors authorize the implementation of a policy that will allow Social Clubs, Dance Clubs and other clubs, recommended by the Board Affairs Committee and approved by the Board of Directors, to have non-GVR members attend their events.

Non-GVR members attending will pay a $4.00 guest fee per person per event; and must sign a waiver. The club will remit the $4.00 fee and a record of attendance to GVR club liaison for deposit in GVR account.

The Board Approved Clubs will have the opportunity to apply for a waiver of fees annually. Each year, the Board Affairs committee will review applications to determine if the fees are a hardship to the club requesting the waiver. Board Affairs Committee will review the application and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors. The club will be notified of the Board's decision.

For Owners/Landlords who rent their home can fill out Tenant Card Request Form at GVR Center Offices to have renters have full access to GVR facilities up to a yearly basis.
